Christmas arrived in spite of all the disasters in the world. Lynde and Ruesha were here for the Christmas weekend. Lynde and I had cut the tree and brought it in, but not decorated it, the weekend before. So we started out by decorating the tree; I think it came out pretty.
The Christmas cactus was right on time, as was snow and cold weather -- the river started to freeze up and was really pretty.

Simon was just glad to be here, where he could help feed the horses and clean up all the horse poop. He showed us how good everything tasted by touching his nose with his tongue.

Santa must have had extra space in his sleigh this year, as he sure brought a lot of stuff. We were definitely not under-stuffed.

One of my favorite presents was a hand crank blender that Lynde got me for the boat. Whoooo-Hoooo! Margaritas and Licuados on the boat! I also got a pair of fireplace pokers made by a local blacksmith, just especially for me. They're great!
The Golden Santa brought me a woodling, who is now quite happy looking over the stove and kitchen and keeping an eye on the sunroom as well. You're never alone in this house, which is nice.

The day after Christmas we went over to Gt. Falls to visit Lynde's father and his wife and her sisters and their families. There wasn't much snow over there, but it was a pretty drive, as always.
